- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. NAICS is 212393 Size standard is 500 employees. Request for Quotation Number is SP470209R0010. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, 3990 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213-1199 intends to procure 2,000 tons of sodium chloride bulk white road salt (for use in 2009 -2010 season) used for treating roadways and parking lots during snow and ice removal efforts, treatment not required, to be delivered on a will-call basis in minimum 22 ton loads with anticipated 300 to 500 ton per will-call delivery. Salt is to be delivered to the Defense Supply Center Columbus, Building 305, 3990 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43216, between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday unless other delivery arrangement has been approved by the Government representative fro DES-Columbus, Office of Installation Management (DES-CI). A firm fixed priced Contract is the anticipated result of this effort. The solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis.
