RECOVERY ACT ACTION THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE OFFICE OF EXTRAMURAL RESEARCH, OFFICE OF EXTRAMURAL PROGRAMS SUPPORT UNDER RIPPLE EFFECT COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (DUNS # 139133230) CONTRACT NUMBER HHSN-276-2008-00275U. In accordance with FAR Part 5.7 Publicizing Requirements Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) this is a notification of a modification to an existing, competitively awarded fixed priced delivery order using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding. The contract is for IT Professional Project Support Services and was previously competed and awarded in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 8.402 Federal Supply Schedules. It is the intent of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to modify task order number HHSN-276-2007-00275U with Ripple Effect Communications, Inc (DUNS # 139133230). Currently the vendor provides IT professional project support services to the Office of Extramural Programs in the execution of grant funded activities. As a result of ARRA funding the NIH requires additional contract support to facilitate education and assistance on extramural policy related to ARRA extramural grants funding. The purpose of this modification is to increase the IT professional project support services and other related activities on the award in order to facilitate and process the anticipated additional grant activities directly related to the ARRA funded grants opportunities on behalf of the NIH. The activities and labor categories are within the scope of the existing contract and does not constitute new work. The contractor shall provide resources in quantities and timelines in accordance with, and as notified by, the current ordering processes of the Project Officer to meet agency demands for surge support. Labor Categories and Descriptions Below are the labor categories and descriptions from the existing master contract that may be required under this task order. Project Manager II: Plans, organizes, and controls the overall activities of the MOBIS contract. Primary client interface conferring with GSA and client agency management on strategic issues and to minimize costs and maximize efficiency in achieving contract requirements. Ensures that all MOBIS activities conform to the terms and conditions of the contract and task ordering procedures and requirements, including cost, schedule and quality parameters. Provides guidance, direction and ultimate management for all MOBIS projects, and reviews all services and products for conformance to client requirements. Writer/Editor: Researches and prepares articles for a variety of publications, communications and promotional materials, including news articles, features, announcements, email messages, scripts, special reports, white papers, or speeches. Requires developing customized content and language, applying appropriate media for a variety of purposes, and in general, meeting the communication needs of the Programs department. Requires familiarity with applicable hardware or software (e.g., web page content, presentations, desk top publishing) This notice is for information purposes only.
