- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation No. F4FBFM9236A001, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The associated NAICS Code is 333314. NOTE: ALL VENDORS "MUST HAVE" AN ACTIVE CAGE CODE NUMBER. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS "FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION" IF INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING A QUOTE, PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL TO: Sue.Quillen@wpafb.af.mil This RFQ has one line item: Part Number: Griffin-5(OR EQUAL) Ti:Sapphire Ultra-short Pulsed Laser Oscillator, including: Integrated Laser Quantum Finesse-5W Pump Laser, integrated diagnostics, and computer control of spectral bandwidth and center wavelength; Chiller, Re-circulating Water Chiller--for use with Griffin series lasers; Shipping: FOB: Destination (the estimated shipping charge is to be included) (QUANTITY: 1 each) NOTE: PRICE INCLUDES: 1 (one) day of Installation and Training at customer's site, (Location: United States Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH) The "Specifications" are: 1. Integral system, including 5W or greater pump laser and oscillator components in a single enclosure. 2. Greater than 70nm spectral bandwidth at 800nm wavelength in a single pulse and capable, with compression, of achieving pulses shorter than 20fs. 3. Minimum continuous output power of 200mW at a pulse rep rate of 80MHz or greater. 4. Capable of long-term operation in a laboratory environment, without the need for user adjustment. 5. Software monitored output spectrum and controlled power.
