- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The solicitation number is Q9512090114, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is a small business set-aside. All responsible small businesses concerns may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 444210 with an associated small business size standard of $7 million (average gross revenue over past three years). This solicitation will result in an award of a firm, fixed-price contract. The National Park Service, Olympic National Park, has a requirement for a single contractor to supply and deliver a motorized carrier that will be used to haul dirt, rock, gravel and equipment from trailheads to remote work sites, or from site to site on trails. The carrier shall be capable of hauling loads well in excess of standard wheelbarrow capacity over rough and/or steep terrain where using a wheelbarrow would be extremely difficult or impossible. SPECIFICATIONS: (1) Weight of Carrier - maximum 500 pounds(2) Length - maximum 80 inches (3) Rack Width - minimum 28 inches and maximum 31 inches (4) Payload - minimum 975 pounds(5) Bed inner length - minimum 45 inches and maximum 48 inches (6) Bed inner width - minimum 28 inches and maximum 30 inches (7) Bed height - minimum 8 inches and maximum 10 inches (8) Engine - fuel type is gasoline, and minimum 6 HP (9) Transmission - minimum 3 forward gears and 1 reverse gear (10) Speed - minimum top speed 3 MPH (11) Travel - continuous rubber tracks PRICE SCHEDULE. Unit prices shall include all costs and be quoted as a delivered price. Equipment shall be new - refurbished or used will not be accepted. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination. CLIN0001: Power Carrier #1: $__________ each. CLIN0002: Power Carrier #2: $__________ each. Vendors shall also include on quote any price or quantity discounts, and state the lead time for delivery after receipt of award. "CLIN" means "Contract Line Item Number." It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this solicitation. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Award will be made on lowest priced technically acceptable, to the vendor whose quote conforms to the technical specifications outlined in above. The government reserves the right to make award without discussions. Quoters must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be considered eligible for award.
