- RECOVERY: This modification was issued to add funding for work scope including additional tasks leading to the disposition and demolition of the C-410 Complex, C-746-A East End Smelter, and C-340 Complex. Work scope includes preparations for dismantlement, dismantlement of process equipment and support systems, internal equipment removal, and disposa1 of infrastructure and equipment waste. Use of fixed price contracting is not feasible because the risk involved in environmental remediation work is high and cannot be predicted with an acceptable degree of certainty.
