Description
THIS AMENDMENT IS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON A PREBID TOUR AS FOLLOWS: Interested Offerors show meet on September 23, 2009 at 11:00AM in the town of Pitkin Town Hall parking lot, beside the Pitkin Hotel. We will proceed to the historic district from there. Drive east on US Highway 50 from Gunnison to Parlin. Turn northest onto County Road 3101 and go about 18 miles to Pitkin. Go several blocks into town on the main road, to a two-story hotel on the left with a large three story town hall building behind it. The meeting will be held in the parking lot or the hotel lobby, followed by the trip to the stabliziation site.

Place of Performance
Address: The project is located in eastern Gunnison County, northeast of the town of Pitkin. It is accessible by narrow graded dirt road. It is located at 11,600 feet in elevation. Offerors should not expect to access this site after October 15 or before June 15 most years. To reach the site, drive east on US Highway 50 from Gunnison to Parlin. Turn northeast onto County Road and go to Pitkin. Continue three miles past Pitkin on FR765 to the tunnel turn-off, FR Road 839, and turn right (east). Drive approximately 10 miles on this narrow dirt road to the site. The site is accessible by regular two-wheel drive. Upon reaching the Tunnel parking area, walk past the gate to the wood frame Telegraph Office. Both masonry ruins are located directly across the grade/road from the Telegraph building., Pitkin, Colorado, 81241, United States
