- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Boise VA Medical Center, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This is not a solicitation; it is a notice of intent to sole source a requirement for Full Service Maintenance Agreement and Software and Technical Support for the BacT/Alert 3D Microbial Detection System and the Vitek 2 Automated Bacteriology System with bioMerieux, Inc. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received by 4:00 p.m. MST, September 18, 2009, will be reviewed by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NAICS 325413 with a size standard of 500 people.
