Description
Questions and Answers 03SEP09 Questions & Answers 3 SEP 09 Q: Trees in question; will we be responsible for removing any or all of these? (2) Italian Cypress (3) Pear trees (8) Magnolia (1) large cypress / Juniper bush A: The contractor will be responsible for removing the tress that are in the planter boxes in front of the building. (See attached drawings for specific location) Q: The plan states (3) 50-gallon Mexican feather grasses...can you confirm the sizes and quantities (they are unusual) The Barberry "Cherry Bombs". can we sub them out for "Crimson Pigmy" they are also a dwarf variety with a similar color and are available from more then one nursery. A: In order for fair competition, we will leave the plant type and quantity as the basis for each contractor to bid on the project. Q: Based on the SOW and requirement rock is required. Is there a requested manner in which the rock is to be incorporated in the project design? A: Design will be left to the contractor to decide, but a mix of rock and bark is required. Q: The trees in the planters on the upper level, will there need to be any replanting, replacing, or providing for a change to the trees that are currently there? A: Refer to answer above, but the tress will be removed and preferably have crepe myrtles planed in the boxes. (reference attached drawing) Q: There are two trees located on the far right of the area to be designed. Are those trees going to remain or will they need to be replaced. They are not shown in any of the photos provided. A: Only the tress in the planter will be removed. (reference attached drawing) Q: Concerning the irrigation valves will there need to be any replacement. Are there any mainline issues or anything needing to be shut off? A: This question is being researched. Answer will be provided as soon as available. Closing Date extended to 11 Sep 09.
