- Description
- The United States Marine Corps, Blount Island Command, intends to issue a sole-source to Wheelabrator for a turnkey installation of compatible equipment to include foundation work; duct work (downdraft); electrical work, including conduits and wiring; new elevator assembly with 1 HP gear motor with heavy duty iron buckets to resist abrasive wear from aluminum oxide; 9992 CFM dust collection system with a air to cloth ratio of 2:1 or less at 10' of static pressure; 25 HP fan. Also, filters to be pleated cartridge type 12 " diameter X 52" long manufactured with 80/20 cellulose/polyester base media pre-coated with diatomaceous earth. The dust collector shall have a maintenance platform, drum lid cover assembly for dust discharge with an option for flame retardant filter cartridges. Vendor to provide a pressure hold 6.5 cu ft blast pot assembly w/dual outlets. Blast pot with Thompson II valves with tungsten carbide abrasive mixing chambers with an on/off palm button to allow use of same hose to blow-off media. Blast pot to have ASAP Safety System, combo-valve, and spider pop-up cover. All equipment to meet ASHRAE/EPA standards with a minimum 60 CFM to 80 CFM per sq ft of cross draft area. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. Written responses shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement as described above.
