- Solicitation Number: VA-69D-09-RA-0412Notice Type: Pre-solicitation Synopsis: RECOVERY ACT PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for the Design Build Extend ParkingProject at the North Chicago VA Medical Center, North Chicago, IL. Thisopportunity is available only to SDVOSB construction firms. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, superintendence,materials, tools, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, and otheritems designated under the provisions of this contract to Extend Parking& Install Drainage System, Project Number 556-09-118, as outlined in thecontract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcareand Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), thisconstruction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-OwnedSmall Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registeredon the VetBiz website, http://www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered foraward. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. There may be a pre-construction conference held for this project, if theengineer would like to have one and all prospective bidders areencouraged to attend. Details of any pre-construction conference will beincluded in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 18, 2009 with theproposals due on or about October 21, 2009. The bidder is responsible tomonitor and download any amendments from FedBizOppshttps://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck= which may be issued to thissolicitation. The project magnitude range is $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. The NorthAmerican Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is237310; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 180days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central ContractorRegistration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBizRegistration, prospective firms must be registered in Central ContractorRegistration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
