- This notice is being posted as an avenue to provide Request for Quotation W912HN-09-R-0113. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.202 (a) (13), Exceptions to publicizing contract actions, there will not be a pre-solicitation notice posted for this required action. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. (ii) The solicitation number is W912HN-09-R-0113, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. This Request for Quotation incorporates the following provisions and clauses: The full text clauses may be accessed electronically at http://www.acquisition.gov/far. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 237110 with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million. (v & vi) Description of Requirement: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requests the procurement of Municipal Water Line Extension across the W. Kerr Scott Dam at W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir, Wilkes County NC, in accordance with attached specifications. CONTRACT LINE ITEM NUMBERS 0001ARRA - Provide all materials, supplies, equipment and labor necessary for the installation of new municipal water line of varying sizes, install three frost free hydrants, one spigot, two cut- off valves and valve boxes, and one bleeder valve across the W. Kerr Scott Dam to Fish Dam Creek Park and ending at Dark Mountain Park trailhead in accordance with attached scope of work and illustration. (vii) This requirement is to be performed at W. Kerr Scott Reservoir, 499 Reservoir Road, Wilkesboro, Wilkes County, NC, 28697. All work should be completed by January 15, 2010. (viii) (ix) (x) (xi) (xii) (xiii) All provisions and clauses included are in the attached SF 1442. (xiv) The Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) is not applicable to this acquisition. (xv) The solicitation due date is 21 Sep 09, at 11:00 AM EST. Parties interested in responding to this RFQ may submit their quote in accordance with standard commercial practice (i.e. quote form, letterhead, etc.) and must include the following information: Solicitation number; offerors complete mailing and remittance addresses; discount terms, DUNS number, and Tax Identification Number.
