- Description
- The purpose of this amendment/modification is to extend the RFQ Close Date to Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 12:00 PM (EASTERN). The following Vendor questions and Government responses are provided: Vendor Question 1. The beginning of Section 5 is missing. Can the opening sentence be provided? Response: The contents of paragraph 5 are not applicable to this requirement. In its place, the following narrative shall be incorporated: "The contractor shall coordinate the testing of products during the normal operation hours of the FCC Engineering Facility. Set dates and times for testing shall be prearranged with FCC personnel." Vendor Question 2. Where do we send the paper copy of the quotes? Response: All quotes shall be submitted in electronic format. No hard copy/paper quotes will be required. Vendor Question 3. Option period 1 and option period 2 in the pricing schedule seem to be the same as the base. Is the intent of the FCC to perform additional modifications to the base design or to just purchase additional production units during the option periods? Response: The pricing for option periods shall reflect only those items that will be provided. Any line item that is not being provided during the option periods shall be reflected by inserting "N/A" in the appropriate place holder. Vendor Question 4. Is the non-recurring engineering cost of the design to be presented separately or amortized over the fixed price for the test production unit and 14 production units? Response: These costs shall be reflected in the "Test and Production Unit" price quote for line item 0001. Vendor Question 5. Is a milestone payment schedule for the development effort agreeable to the FCC? Response: All cost for the development effort shall be a sub-price of line item 0001. Vendor Question 6. FCC Contract Clause 8.2.3 is listed in the table of contents, but is not in the body of the document. Does this clause apply? If so, then can that clause be provided? Response: The contents of paragraph 8.2.3 have been intentionally deleted and replaced with the contents of paragraph 6. Thus 8.2.3 and its reference in the table of contents are hereby superseded by the information contain in paragraph 6. All responses/quotes submitted in response to this RFQ shall be sent via e-mail attachments to the following address: eProposals@fcc.gov
