Description

Recovery - The is a Special Notice to inform that NIST has received a timely agency level protest resulting from the award of Contract No. SB1341-09-AE-0008 to World Wide Technology, Inc. This award was made in response to NIST Solicitation No. SB134109-RQ-0436 for Cisco SMARTnet Services for NIST stating that NIST's technical requirements were inaccurate. Upon review of the protest matters, the Contracting Officer has elected to take corrective action by issuing a new corrected solicitation to the five Offerors that submitted a quotation in response to Solicitation No. SB1341-09-RQ-0436 and allow those Offerors to submit a new quotation for the period September 27, 2009 through September 26, 2010. Due to the critical nature and need of the services procured, the Contracting Officer has determined that a stop work order will not be issued as a result of the protest, but rather that performance of the current award be terminated for convenience on September 26, 2009, which will allow time for a new competitive corrective acquisition to occur.
