- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA-261-09-RQ-0350 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to 9/8/09 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS Code is 621991 with a size standard of $10.0M. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36 August 11th, 2009 and VAAR rewrite dated 02/14/2008. This equipment has features specific to the manufacturer. The SPD renovation is within two weeks of being completed. The entire facility renovation was designed around the STERIS product line. Installation services by anyone other than STERIS for the STERIS product line would invalidate the warranty of the equipment.
