- This is a Sole Source announcement. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. The Government intends to award on a firm fixed price contract to Undersea Systems International, Inc., DBA Ocean Technology Sytems, 3133 West Harvard Street, Santa Ana, Ca, 92704, for twenty four (24) each Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (MBITR) Y Connector with sleep mode, P/N 910411-000, to be awarded in accordance with Simplified Acquisition procedures, FAR Part 13. The cable is required to provide optimal communications during submerge and surface operations and will be used in conjunction with existing Ocean Technology Sytems Through Water Communications (TWC) System to interface with the Special Operations Forces (SOF) MBITR radio. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within three days after date of publication of this special notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
