- Description
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Design-Build project to convert and renovate Building 249, Fort Myer, VA to a modified design Company Operations Facility (COF). The proposed procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside NAICS Code 236220 with a size standard of $33.5M respectively. The solicitation will be available on or about 15 June 2009. Estimated cost of construction will be between $5M and $10M. Construction duration is 365 days after receipt of notice to proceed. This project is to convert Building No. 249 and renovate it to a modified design Company Operations Facility. This project includes a two Company Operations Facilities (COF), with administrative readiness modules, building information systems, connection to energy monitoring controlled systems (EMCS) and installation of an intrusion detection system. Supporting facilities include utilities, electrical services, fire protection and alarm systems, information systems and power distribution extension services. Work will include roofing, windows, exterior doors, installation of domestic hot water boilers and low pressure heating boilers in the basement. Comprehensive building and furnishings related interior design services are also required. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. After issuance of the solicitation, contractors may view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments. Plans and specifications will not be available in paper format. Oral communications are not acceptable. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). You must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) to receive a Government contract award.
