Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a fixed priced incentive fee Request For Proposal to General Dynamics Bath Iron Works (GD-BIW), 700 Washington Street, Bath, ME. 04530 for the construction of up to two DDG 1000 ZUMWALT Class Destroyers (DDGs 1001 and 1002) and maintenance of a portion of the Class Detail Design. The RFP will additionally require associated supplies and services as well as special studies, analyses, reviews and provisioned item orders. The contract will be awarded using other than full and open competition pursuant to U.S.C. 2304 ( c ) (3), "to maintain a facility, producer, manufacturer, or other supplier available for furnishing property or services in case of a national emergency or to achieve industrial mobilization."
