- Description
- Recovery Act - Additional effort to be performed by the existing contractor for the maintenance and operation of Argonne National Laboratory. Initiate Energy Frontier Research Center research in support of the lead researcher, Purdue University, for "Direct Catalytic Conversion of Biomass to Biofuels". Time-Resolved Near-Field Scanning Optical Microscope Equipment upgrade in the Laboratory Center for Nanoscale Materials. Replacement of the First Booster Cryostat Module and Liquid Helium upgrade and a Radio-Frequency Quadrupole Accelerator Section for Laboratory ATLAS PII linac improvements. Release of final funding for the hiring and training of a post-doc to address staff shortages of the U. S. Nuclear Data Program.
