- Recovery Action - Duns 038756738. This modification is issued to obligate American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) of 2009 funds for the purpose of providing $1,100,000 in construction funding for the Seismic Safety of General Purpose Buildings, Phase II project (09-SC-72) for Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This Project is being managed by the Laboratory. Please contact the Laboratory for any subcontracting opportunities. Information is available at the following URL: http://www.lbl.gov/Workplace/CFO/pro/small-bus/small-bus_contracting.html This contract was competitively awarded and the current action is incremental funding added for the above cited project. Contract type is cost reimbursement because the uncertainties of performance and making reasonable estimates of costs is not possible for the research mission of the Laboratory. Therefore a firm, fixed-price contract is not a viable contract type.
