- THE FOLLOWING ARE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO SOLICITATION: W9124L-09-T-0098 DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY MISSION AND INSTALLATION CONTRACTING COMMAND ENTERPRISE AND INSTALLATION OPERATIONS 1803 Macomb Road FORT SILL, OKLAHOMA 73503-0501 CCMISIL 26 Aug 2009 SUBJECT: Questions and Answers to SOL: W9124L-09-T-0098 Q.1. Where will the answers be posted to the questions, or will there be an addendum to the RFP? A.1. Answers will be posted to FEDBIZOPPS with the solicitation, if any questions require that the SOW to be amended, we will amend it and post to FEDBIZOPPS as well. Q.2. Should the scope of work include removal and/or transportation of old equipment to somewhere else on base? A.2. No. The Government will remove old equipment. Q.3. Should the screen be suspended in the same location and height it is now or should it be moved? A.3. Yes Q.4. Where should the projector be located and at what distance from the ceiling and screen location? A.4. Contractors are encouraged to submit proposals for a system that maximize worship service. SHPO will have to approve prior to installation. Q.5. How many pews will be removed for placement of new desk/rack equipment? A.5. One Q.6. Where would you like the amp/processor rack located? A.6. At the back of the chapel where the pew will be removed. Q.7. Will there be an elevated floor where the desk/rack is to be located and if so how tall? A.7. No Q.8. Is there ANY existing A/V equipment that will be re-used in the new system? and will it need to be re-located and/or re-wired in the install? A.8. No. Q.9. Would you like the new speakers to be located in the same position as the old? A.9. Yes, however contractors can make other recommendations, but the SHPO office will have to approve, Q.10. The bid specifies (2) new speakers and there are (4) existing speakers. Are we deleting (1) pair? A.10. No, per the SOW The sound system at Grierson Hill Chapel shall include 2 Community 3-way speakers with rotatable horn-main speakers (Model # Versis 35-64), 1 QSC amplifier-main (Model # PLX3102), a Mackie16 channel mixer (Model #1604VLZPRO), 1 DBX Drive Rack 260 audio processor (Model #Drive Rack 260) for main speakers, 2 Community speakers (MVP-12M) stage monitor speakers, 1 QSC PLX2 1104, 1 DBX Drive Rack PA for stage monitor speakers, 2 Audio Technical Wireless Handheld Microphone Systems (ATW3141AD). Q.11. Will there be any other video sources displayed by the projector other than the listed DVD player and where will this/these sources be located? A.11. A laptop computer cable is needed in the soundboard area at the back of the chapel where the sound board will be located. Q.12. How do you plan to control/operate the proposed video system and screen and where should they be controlled from? A.12. Next to or near the soundboard located at the back of the chapel. Q.13. Should surge suppression and/or power conditioning be provided at any/all of the equipment? A.13. Yes. /ss/ Karen L.
