- RECOVERY: This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about 9/10/09 to Replace Window Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning units with Central Air for Bldg 33 Project No. 528A6-07-612 ES and Replace the Elevator in Building 33 Project No. 528A6-07-611 ES. These are two separate Recover Act projects that are being combined into one solicitation due to the coordination required between the projects in the same building. The Air Handling Equipment will need to be placed in the basement through the elevator shaft opening before the elevator can be put in place. HVAC system work will include, but not limited to: general construction, asbestos abatement, alterations of the mechanical and electrical systems, control systems, utility upgrades, plumbing, carpentry, demolition of existing structures, and other items as required. The Elevator work will include, but not limited to: general construction, asbestos abatement, alterations of the mechanical and electrical systems, control systems, utility upgrades, plumbing, carpentry, demolition of existing structures, and other items as required. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. The NAICS code is 238220. The small business standard is $14 M. The cost range is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
