Description
This is a request for information (RFI) only. There is no solicitation package available. This RFI is being conducted for market research purposes only. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking Small Business HUBZONE sources that may be capable of manufacturing Aircraft Launch and Recovery (ALRE) and Expeditionary Airfield (EAF) parts from Government drawing packages. The Navy’s requirement is for the fabrication, manufacturing, production, assembly and delivery of assorted ALRE and EAF equipment. The Government is not soliciting any particular drawing package at this time. This is a general survey of HUBZONE sources for market research purposes only. ALRE and EAF Drawing packages will contain Export Controlled Data and are subject to the Arms Export Control Act. Contractors must be certified by the Defense Logistics Services Center and have a current DD2345 on file. Special quality assurance requirements will include but are not limited to: close machining tolerances, casting/forging, hydrostatic and environmental testing, radiographic inspection, heat treating, welding certifications, plating, magnetic particle testing, and NDI. A written response no longer than three pages is requested. Response should address: corporate capability and experience, technical capability, personnel qualifications, quality assurance certifications, production capability including facilities, and any subcontracts to large Businesses. Prior Government contracts should also be identified. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. Responses should cite RFI number N68335-09-RFI-7110 and be addressed to the attention of Ms. Christine Somerset, Code 2.5.2CS. All responses are due by 17 September 2009.
