- This notice is hereby amended to include the Request for Proposal. The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure various Cummins engine parts for the VT903M and 6CTA8.3M1 marine engines in accordance with the attached list of part numbers. These parts are used in support of the main diesel engines on board the 41' and 49' Coast Guard vessels. It is anticipated that a firm, fixed price requirements contract consisting of one (1) base year and four (4) option years will be awarded to Cummins engine parts and/ or those concerns who have previously been successful in providing certain Cummins engine parts to the Government. Concerns were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in the Sources Sought Notice published in FedBizOpps on April 29th, 2009 and the Government acknowledges those responses. Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number HSCG40-09-Q-6MD252 shall be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about June 29th, 2009. This date is estimated at best. Each part shall be preserved, packaged, marked and bar-coded in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number D-000-0100, Revision G, and dated 2/2006. All related specifications and additional information shall be available for download immediately from FedBizOpps at the time the above referenced solicitation is posted. This is a presolicitation notice as required in FAR 5.204 and prepared in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Direct all inquiries regarding this acquisition to the contracting officials listed herein.
