- Description
- The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue Request for Quote (RFQ) Q1774090403, to provide and install a new ballistic-resistant system at Floyd Bennett Field, Building 275 in the Jamaica Bay Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to provide and install a new ballistic-resistant system at Gateway National Recreation Area - Floyd Bennett Field. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE FOR AN EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR SUBPART 19.10. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238350 and the Standard is 1,000 employees. AN EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS MEANS A SMALL BUSINESS CONCERN WHOSE SIZE IS NO GREATER THAN 50 PERCENT OF THE NUMERICAL SIZE STANDARD APPLICABLE TO THE NAICS CODE ASSIGNED. The estimated cost range for this project is less than $25,000. The intended contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. The solicitation including all bid documents will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 10 September 2009. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. The estimated date for the receipt of bids is 2:00 p.m. on 18 September 2009. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitations plans and specifications. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to receive contract awards. As a security precaution, vendors must register themselves through the on-line CCR system. Be advised, failure to register in the CCR database makes a bidder ineligible for a contract award with the Park Service. Only bidders with a minimum of 5 years experience installing similiar work in comparable environments will be considered.
