- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District Pre-Award Notice RECOVERY-- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER CONTRACT NUMBER W912DQ-09-P-1042 (SOLICITATION NUMBER W912DQ-09-R-1023). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, will be issuing an award on or about 27 August 2009 for Archeological Investigations at the Coffey Site, Tuttle Creek Lake, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. The work consists of but is not limited to identifying, analyzing, and evaluating the cultural resources within the specified project areas. The work shall establish the horizontal and vertical extent of cultural deposits, the context and condition of the deposits, the placement of the cultural deposits in time, and a determination of site function associated with cultural material and/or features identified. The contractor shall also provide recommendations on the viability of possible future erosion protection efforts at the site. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. This procurement was issued as unrestricted, available for full-and-open competition.
