Description
Solicitation: Project 0600031. Amendment 005 was posted on 26 Aug 2009. The date for reciept of offers has been changed. Addendum 5 is included in Amendment 005 along wit answers to RFI's. The revised drawings for Addendun 5 were posted 26 Aug 2009. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. The proposed acquisition will be an Request for Proposal(RFP), which will be solicited restricted to 8 (a) Small Business Conerns competition. The Period of Performance is 360 days. SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-09-R-0051 NAICS CODE: 236220. Size Standard $34M The requirement is to; Renovate Administrative Area, F/30001. Project is to renovate 23,000 SF of space in the southwest quadrant of Building 1. All space will be gutted to the structure except for fire sprinklers and other utilities determined to remain. Scope includes construction of administrative space to serve 131 personnel, construction of a new mechanical room in accordance with the Building 1 Master Plan, replacement of all HVAC and electrical systems, installation of a new fire alarm and mass notification system, reconfiguration of fire sprinklers, and replacement of existing bathrooms with ADA-compliant bathrooms. Option for systems furniture will be included in the acquisition. CLIN 002 BID OPTION 001: The work consists of providing all labor, equipment, plant devices and material and performing operations as necessary to provide systems furniture for the area renovated under the Base Bid. The Air Force intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract with a performance period of 360 days. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. 88 CONS/PKJA, will issue solicitation, FA8601-09-R-0051, on approximately 29 July 2009 with a closing date of approximately 28 August 2009 for the acquisition. NOTES: 1. The solicitation with the official specifications and drawings will be available on the World Wide Web on or about 29 July 2009, at http://www.fbo.gov, The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 28 August 2009. The period of performance is 360 days. 2. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount (base plus options). However, contractors shall only be responsible for providing bonding for the base amount plus the amount of any and all options exercised at the time of award. If an option is exercised after award, contractors shall be responsible for securing the additional bonding equal to the amount of the option. 8. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKJ) program. The current status is Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property program. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of solicitations issued after 31 May 1998. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. NOTES: (1) The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available on the World Wide Website on or about 22 June 09 at: http://www.fbo.gov. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 22 July 2009. The period of performance is 360 days. (2) Copies of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program, and F.W. Dodge Division in Dayton, OH.
