Description

The announcement response date has been modified to meet the 14 day posting date requirement for intent to award sole source. Response date has changed to August 27, 2009 and will close after this notice of modification. This announcement is a notice of an intent to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to provide all materials, equipment, labor and services to transport, inspect and rebuild/refurbish a Johnson Pump, model 36 MS, single stage vertical pump. The pump is located at the Prairie Creek Pump Station, Russellville, Arkansas. The government will be responsible to disassemble and re-install pump. The contractor will be responsible to pick-up and return pump. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 333911 with a business size standard of 500 employees. The sole source contractor is Sulzer Pumps Inc, 101 Old Underwood Rd, Bldg G, LaPorte, TX 77571. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the government will consider reponses received by September 22, 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
