- The US Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Contacting Command awarded a CostPlus Incentive Fee contract to the LGS Innovations on 16 June 2009 for the research and development of Advanced Plastic Armor and its application to existing military equipment. The contract was awarded using full and open competition and LGS was selected for award based on the evaluation criteria stated in the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) under Solicitation number W15QKN-07-R-0210. The contract number is W15QKN-09-C-0077. The period of performance for this effort is 3 years. The total dollar amount awarded on this contract is $6,170,647 which will be incrementally funded on Contract Line Item Number 0001. The place of performance for this effort is Florham Park, NJ. No set-asides were established for this acquisition. The BAA will remain open to all potential sources until 30 October 2009 at which time no additional responses will be considered. Any responses submitted before this date will be considered for up to 3 years after this date.
