- Description
- A Request for Quotation will be issued on or about August 28, 2009 for providing and installing boiler and unit heaters at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, located in Lincoln City, IN. The items to be provided by Contractor and the work to be performed consists of new installation of a new 200,000 BTU Cond. Boiler, 92% high efficiency with modulating gas valve, a new circulator pump and water fill valve, air separator and expansion tank, four (4) horizontal unit heaters with circuit setters and wall-mounted on/off thermostats, one (1) vertical unit heater setter and wall-mounted on/off thermostats, re-using the existing copper pipe. Removal and disposal of the existing boiler, expansion tank and heater units will also be required. The NAICS Code for this project is 423720, and will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The small business size standard is 100 employees. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) and attachments will be available via electronic commerce and may be accessed on/about August 28, 2009 at either of the following websites: http://www.fbo.gov, or directly through the DOI National Business Center e-commerce site at: https://ideasec.nbc.gov. They will also be made available by e-mail upon individual request. Such requests must be received by the Contracting Officer prior to September 3, 2009. Prior to submission of a quote, site visits are strongly encouraged and will be addressed in the RFQ. Offerors will also be responsible for checking the websites for any amendments to the solicitation issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ. The due date for receipt of quotations will be on September 14, 2009 by 3:00 p.m. central time. Quotations may be mailed, e-mailed or faxed to the addresses or fax number identified in the forthcoming solicitation. It is anticipated that a resultant contract would be awarded on or about September 18, 2009 with a contract completion date of not later than 45 calendar days from the date of contract award. Selection for award will be made on a best value determination, considering price, technical capability/past performance, and warranty/servicing availability..It is mandatory that all contractors be registered and active in the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov) and have completed their Annual Representations and Certifications (www.bpn.gov) prior to any potential award being made. Failure on the part of the successful oferor to register in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer will result in award of the contract being made to the next otherwise successful offeror.
