Description
Solicitation Number: SAM12125 Intended Source: Stacy A. Bohlen Period of Performance: One (1) Year from Date of Award The Program Support Center (PSC), Strategic Acquisition Services (SAS), on Behalf of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, intends to award a 12 month sole source contract using simplified acquisition procedures to Stacy A. Bohlen, Executive Director, National Indian Health Board. The basis for this requirement is Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13. Purpose/objective: The purpose of this acquisition is for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) partner with the National Indian Health Board to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS and substance abuse and mental health to its tribal health providers. SAMSHA will also work in partnership with NIHB to highlight this HIV/AIDS awareness initiative in specific conferences and other appropriate meetings. The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is the only organization soley devoted to the advancement of American Indian and Alaska Native health care and the elevation of health status for America’s native peoples. NIHB represents all American Indian and Alska Native tribes and is recognized as the national leader for health care policy formulation and advancement on behalf of the tribes. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) – which states that when the supplies and services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source, or for DOD, NASA and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency’s requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
