Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) and award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for project number: 401819Q818 for the Installation of culverts and bulkheads at the Santee National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), Cuddo Unit located in Summerton, South Carolina. The site location(s) is located at the Santee NWR, 2125 Ft. Watson Rd., Summerton, SC. The NAICS code is 237110, size standard: $33.5 Million. The work requires the contractor to supply all materials, labor, supervision and equipment to install Government Furnished culvert-riser water control structures (WCS) and non-Government Furnished bulkheads. The work requires the contractor to install four (4) aluminum riser-pipes (one double and 2 single culverts) and build three wooden bulkheads (2 walls per site). The work requires the contractor to remove any existing water control structures, install new riser-culvert pipes and install bulkheads. The work requires that the contractor will seed area around construction sites and stabilize road surface between bulkhead walls. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The RFQ will be issued electronically on or after August 26, 2009 on the Federal Business Opportunities web site at http://www.fbo.gov. The Response Date will be September 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM (EST). Questions or clarifications concerning any ambiguities in the solicitation shall be addressed in e-mail to andrea_brzoska@fws.gov. PLEASE DEFER ALL QUESTIONS UNTIL AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE RFQ. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the site frequently for any amendments/modifications to any and all documents. Note: In order to be eligible for award, prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov. Prior to the CCR registration, offerors must have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet at http://www.dnb.com.
