Description
RFP No. S09-210 for Bioinformatics Quality Assuance PHONE CALLS REGARDING THIS RFP WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. OFFERORS SHOULD EMAIL THE IDENTIFIED SUBCONTRACTS SPECIALIST ONLY. Questions regarding this RFP should be emailed to the Subcontracts Specialist by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Setpember 2, 2009. No additional questions beyond that date will be accepted. A brief synopsis of Statement of Work follows: The scope of this Statement of Work (SOW) encompasses all aspects of Software Quality Assurance (QA) support to NCI CBIIT project teams throughout the full software development lifecycle. The Subcontractor shall provide a variety of management and QA services including but not limited to: (a) Providing the technical and functional activities necessary for the management of this SOW and all tasks provided under this SOW: The Subcontractor shall provide a Delivery Order Management Plan outlining the tasks, sub tasks, and approaches to be used to provide the required services including the specific deliverable documents, analyses, and reports to be developed. When approved by the Project Officer, this plan shall be used to monitor, control, and report progress, issues, and resource expenditure. The Subcontractor shall participate in task management meetings and provide bi-weekly status updates and monthly status reports monitoring the performance and progress toward successful completion of this SOW (b) Working with development teams to produce and document appropriate QA and testing plans for new releases of software: The Subcontractor shall work with various NCI CBIIT software development teams to create appropriate test plans for the particular software system under development. QA and Test plans will be reviewed by the NCI CBIIT Project Managers, with final approval by the NCI Product Managers. (c) Working with development teams and end users to produce test cases: The Subcontractor shall work with development team and end users to to development use cases that capture all main and exception use cases. All test cases shall be able to trace back to requirements and use cases. (d) Conducting integration testing, staging and regression testing of software prior to release: Based on the test plan, the Subcontractor shall conduct all relevant software testing beyond the level of unit tests. In addition, the Subcontractor shall as required repeat unit tests. The Subcontractor shall record results of this testing, following NCI CBIIT procedure for resolving defects, and report the results of the testing to the Product Managers and Project Managers. (e) Coordinating user acceptance testing of software prior to release: The Subcontractor shall work with the developer teams to identify potential user acceptance testers during development phases. The Subcontractor shall coordinate such user acceptance testing, collect the results, and make a determination as to the result of the user acceptance. (f) Deliver test reports: The Subcontractors shall have detailed test reports to indicating their testing progresses against the plan. NCI PO will provide test report template to specify the details needed. (g) Correction of defects is the responsibility of software development teams to which the QA resource is assigned. Correction of defects is not included within the scope of this SOW. (h) Formal systems validation is not included within the scope of this SOW.
