- This is a notice of intent to sole source an Purchase Order to Knuth Machine Tools USA for deployable tool milling machines due to the compatibility with size, structural and power limitations of the standard mobile facility vansand to meet Marine Corps expeditionary requirements. The milling machines must fit within the dimensions of the mobile facility work station (52" X 56" X 72"), must weigh less than 3,500 lbs, and must accommodate 3-phase 220volt 60hz power. Additionally, it must be capable of both horizontal and vertical milling. This requirement includes a start up kit and operator tool kits. Knuth Machine Tools USA is the only supplier capable of meeting these specific requirements. This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive quotes. However, all quotes received within fourteen (14) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposedcontract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
