- Description
- The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the NIST Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory, Semiconductor Electronics Division, intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order with Premier Global Services, for a renewal of the Webcasting and Conference Call Services for the period of October 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010. Replacing the existing software application is not cost effective and it is extremely vital to the continuation of the success of the experiments for the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory. This software product collaborates the meetings for the NIST researchers and other laboratory scientists. The duplication of cost that the Government would encounter by soliciting a new software product would not be recovered through competition. Based on recent market research, NIST is unaware of any other sources besides Premier Global Services can provide the Premier Conferencing software however, sources that can satisfy NIST’s requirements for this software may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. In so doing, the source shall provide written evidence that they are authorized by Premier Global Services, to provide the Premier Conferencing License that NIST requires. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed acquisition will be based on responses to this notice; such determination is solely within the discretion of the Government.
