See Section C for PWS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation that is also posted on NECO, www.neco.navy.mil. The RFQ number is N00183-09-T-0629. This acquisition is a 100% Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside; North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541618. The Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Contracting Department requests responses from qualified sources. See attachment(s) for complete RFQ details and Performance Work Statement (PWS). Overview: This is a non-personnel services contract to provide an independent review and analysis of NHJAX to include facilities, services, programs, and ambient cultures (i.e. leadership, teamwork, patient, beneficiaries, community, Navy and Medical Corps history and tradition, and more). The review and analysis will lead to written reports and/or other products or solutions, prepared by the contractor, as detailed herein, that will help NHJAX improve and transform patient and personal safety efforts, the patient experience, and staff excellence at the NHJAX campus, to include the local support facilities and the surrounding branch health clinics (BHC) in Jacksonville, FL, Mayport, FL, and Kings Bay, GA, with major emphasis on improving patient and staff safety. Background: To help advance Department of Defense (DoD) Patient Safety Program (PSP) initiatives, which ensure optimal safety and world class health care for America’s military patriots and their families and other authorized beneficiaries who receive care and services at DoD Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and other locations, the PSP director initiated a pilot program with NHJAX to explore ways to optimize safety, transform the patient experience, and improve staff excellence.
