Description
RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR REPLACING UNDER GROUND FUEL STORAGE TANK (UST) WITH ABOVE STORAGE TANK (AST) AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING FOR THE CALVERTON NATIONAL CEMETERY PROJECT NUMBERS R-CSD-76 This project is being funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-09-RA-0149 for the following: Contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to replace existing UST with an AST at the Administration Building at the Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY in accordance with the project statement of work, drawings and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Remove and dispose of existing underground fuel storage tank and proper disposal. Installation of new above ground fuel storage tank and installation of all necessary additional piping and equipment. Provide and deliver 2,000 gallon fuel tank and associated piping and equipment. Provide and delivery associated concrete pad for fuel tank. Submit and appropriate any and all permits required to remove existing tank. Excavate and remove existing UST and all associated piping. Test soils around tank to verify there has not been any leakage and submit findings to Facility Administration for records. Replace excavated tank removal site with quality fill. Grande and repair section of asphalt removed to excavate UST. Submit and appropriate any and all permits required to install new 2000 gallon fuel tank. Remove trees and associated vegetation and prepare designated location for new concrete pad. Install concrete pad for new above ground fuel tank. Install new above ground fuel tank with all associated piping and monitoring equipment as required. NAICS CODE: 238320 SIZE STANDARD: $14.0 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsible service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation.
