Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME contract for Sierra Instruments Smart-Trak 2 C100L Flow Controllers using Federal Acquision Regulation FAR Part 6.302-1. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 2 each Sierra Instruments Smart-Trak 2 C100L Flow Controllers The Mass Flow Controller (MFC) controls gas flow to a MINICAMS air monitoring instrument. A MINICAMS is a gas chromatograph used to monitor air borne chemical weapons. The Government is evaluating a variety of Mass Flow Controllers that will best suit its applications. The digital Sierra Mass Flow Controller, according to manufacturers specifications, is infinitely adjustable, operates in environments expected within the military, and is secure such that operating parameters are accessed through a password restriction. The intended delivery date for the items is 30 September 2009. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM DST Eastern Time, Friday, September 7, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in this and future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
