Description
1. All screens will be electric and provide some sort of tension or weight to prevent unneccessary movement from HVAC air flow. Screen size for projector's labeled 5 on site map should be about 7 to 8 feet wide. 2. 2 pairs of speakers to cover the large ops floor with sound from the central control equipment. These speakers shall be selectable by a switch to be used for one of the projectors (#5 on diagram) on the ops floor. The switch should have the 2 projectors and an off position. 3. There can be one central remote control for the ops floor (master control desired but not mandatory), as long as there is also an individual remote at each display. Either way, each display will run independent of each other and have the ability to display each of the available inputs. 4. The conference room will have 2 projectors, one near the head of the table to a 5 ft screen about 10 feet toward the middle of the room. The second in the middle of the room will be a part of central control and used for the display of a Tandberg 6000 VTC(Tandberg VTC not connected to Central Video). Maximum screen size as appropriate for room and projector distance is required. The VTC display will be dual display and can be done with 1 or 2 projectors as necessary to provide dual display from Tandberg 6000. If 2 projectors are required, the remotes need to be independent to not control both projectors simultaneausly. Conference room dimesions: 41 ft long, 17 ft wide, 8 ft drop ceiling. 5. Server room: contractor to provide Dell 42U server cabinet (color Black) with 220V UPS sufficient to handle video equipment(L6 type 220v plug for UPS). Dvd player to be provided as part of equipment package. 6. Inputs: Highest definition possible/practible: 16 total inputs 6 inputs from 3 wallplates in the facility that will be remote inputs to the video system each with 2 video connectors. 1 VGA with audio and 1 DVI with audio in each wall plate. (total of 6 inputs to the video system) 6 HDMI inputs 4 VGA inputs 7. outputs: 16 video/audio outputs of the best quality practicle/possible. 13 identified on the site map, 3 spares. 8. Equipment on hand list: 60in. Plasma displays (qty 6) PN= 60PC1D-UE Site map # 1 32in. Plasma display (qty 1) PN= LC-32DV24U Site map # 2 42in. Plasma displays (qty 2) PN= 42XV54OU Site map # 3 Infocus projector (qty 1) PN=1N 83 Site map # 4 Sony projectors (qty 2) PN= VPL-VW200 Site map # 5 From questions from DasNet below: Q: Do we need to provide the user with the ability to control any of the source devices (DVD, Camera, PC, Cable Box, etc.)? In other words, do we need to integrate into our solution the ability for the local user to change channels on the Cable Box, or Stop and Start the DVD player, or Pan Tilt and Zoom the camera, etc., (typically via a touch panel) or will that be controlled by someone else? A:Yes, as much as is practical. Q: Do we need to provide the user with the ability to control their local Display Device (Plasma, Projector)? In other words, the users are currently turning their plasmas and projectors on and off, selecting inputs, changing aspect, etc. (Typically via hand held remote control). Do they plan to continue doing this or do they want us to integrate controlling of these devices into our solution (typically via touch panel) A: No, not mandatory. But desired if it does not complicate the project. Q: Is the OPS Room considered one area / location and therefore only needs one controlling station, or should it be broken up as illustrated below with a controlling station in each area? If it is kept as one area / location then all projectors and plasmas will always display the same source. For example, there will be no way for one plasma to display the DVD player while another displays a PC output. A: As above, the ops floor is one area with multiple devices, all used independantly.
