- The Rock Island Contracting Center is seeking possible sources of supply for the acquisition of approximately 49,935 pounds of Nonmicronized Pentaerythritol (PE), in accordance with Drawing 36-1-317B dated 26 Jun 2007, packaged in 55 pound bags per pallet. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) requested with each shipment. Alternate shipping container for ground pentaerythritol is polyurethane lined, 55-gallon, loose head drum. The current particle size requirements on the drawing for PE is 95 percent smaller than 1000 microns or percent by weight passing: No. 18 sieve (minimum) 95 percent. Pentaerythritol will be ground to meet the following requirements: No. 30 Sieve (minimum) 100 percent No. 40 Sieve (minimum) 99 percent No. 60 Sieve (minimum) 80 percent No. 100 Sieve (nominal) 50 percent No. 140 Sieve (nominal) 25 percent No. 230 Sieve (maximum) 10 percent All other requirements of drawing 36-1-317 apply. Interested sources need to submit terms and conditions, production capability and delivery lead times, warranty, and cost estimates for budgetary purposes only. Delivery shall be FOB Destination: Pine Bluff Arsenal, Pine Bluff AR. There is not a firm requirement. This is for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The information you provide will only be utilized by the government in developing its acquisition approach for future requirements.
