Description
RECOVERY--PROJECT NUMBER 34148, Replace Heat Distribution Piping 3100 Block The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a competitive requirement to replace the existing steam and HW distribution mains in 3100 Block, which includes new utility corridor, direct bury work and main replacement along 2nd Division Drive and 3rd Division Drive between Pendleton Avenue and Faith Avenue as awarded by Government. Work includes: installing new utility corridor, replacing piping and valves in existing vaults and manholes; providing temporary rental boilers and connections, temporary electrical tie-ins, and temporary water tie-ins; connecting to existing system, providing restoration of asphalt concrete pavement at roadways and parking area, sidewalk and landscaping restoration; reconstructing and/or relocating utilities at crossings with the new hot water main; providing traffic control; providing temporary erosion control measures; and, providing temporary construction fencing. Magnitude of Construction is $5M to $10M and the completion period is estimated at 340 calendar days. The NAICS code for this project is 237110. This requirement will be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable procurement conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. This is HUBZone Small Business Set Aside procurement. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP), and a firm-fixed-price contract will be negotiated as a result of this procurement. Estimated date of availability is 09 September 2009.
