- THIS IS THE OFFICIAL PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE PREVIOUSLY POSTED ON 6 AUGUST 2009. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND IF PREVIOUSLY RESPONDED. THIS REQUIREMENT IS FULLY FUNDED WITH FY2009 FUNDS - MUST BE AWARDED BY 30 SEP 2009. This requirement is for an upgrade of equipment manufacturered by JDS Uniphase Corp (JDSU). Equipment manufacturered by other than JDSU WILL NOT be acceptable. Justification for Other Than Full & Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1, Application for brand name descriptions) will be posted with the Solicitation IAW FAR 5.102(a)(6). The following items (by JDSU Part #) are needed for the 374 Communications Squadron's System Control Facility at Yokota AB, Japan: C8640-U2, C8470-U1, CFSCOPE400/FBP-MTS-001, E8126SRE, E82LFSM2 and E8100. Actual required quantities will be listed in the solicitation package. Contract award will be made to the lowest price offer. The solication will be Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price and unrestricted. It will be available on this website by approximately 1 Sep 2009 and will also be sent separately to all firms who respond by e-mail to this synopsis. All firms capable of providing this JDSU equipment are encouraged to participate in this requisition.
