- The contractor shall provide the resources to support the additional Missile Compartment (MC) testing required by the MK 98 Mod 6/7 Fire Control System (FCS) Shipyard Integrated Test Program (SITP). These changes are required to support the architecture introduced by the SSP Shipboard Integration (SSI) Increment 1 MK 98 Mod 6/7 FCS program Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
