- Description
- The Louis A. Johnson Healthcare System's intent is to solicit forrequired Durable Medical Equipment services for veterans andbeneficiaries who are located in parts of northern West Virginia,eastern Ohio and southwestern Pennsylvania. Services shall includefurnishing all labor, equipment, materials and facilities necessary forpick-up, delivery and storage for the beneficiaries of the Louis A.Johnson VA Healthcare System. The contractor will be required to repairfull electric and semi-electric beds as well as patient lifts from timeto time. Services will be for a base year period with four one-yearoptions for renewal. The successful contractor, all branch office andsubcontractor must meet Joint Commission standards and be in goodstanding for equipment management and clinical respiratory services. Theeffective base year period is projected for 11/01/2009 through September30, 2010. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621610. Evaluationfactors will be Demmonstrated Capability, Personnel Qualification, PastPerformance and price. The relative importance of each factor isdescending order of precendence. The contract type is a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery contract.The solicitation will be available on or about September 7th, 2009 andwill be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunitieswebsite at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning thisacquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributedsolely through this website.
