Description
This announcement constitutes public notice of intent to purchase Spring Tester with 1000 lb load cell, extended daylight. General Specifications and Features: Tester Features: 17" daylight opening / 12" stroke 6" OD Platens 0.25% FS load accuracy 0.0004" Height Resolution Platens square within 0.001" Mechanical overload protection Operated by hand wheels - First hand wheel is directly geared and allows rapid movement of platen - Second hand wheel is geared for mechanical advantage for load apply Tester Color: Black Digital Display Controller Features: Automatic load cell deflection compensation Audible signal indicates overload Digital readout of height and load English/metric switching Pass-thru load captures the load for up to (8) preset heights; computes and displays spring-rate between any two non-corresponding points. Pass-thru height captures the height for up to (8) preset loads; computes and displays spring-rate between any two non-corresponding points. Pass-thru data can be captured on the load and/or unload cycle of each test. Classifier feature allows the unit to be programmed to measure load at specific heights and compare the results to pre-set limits for each height alowing springs to be classified "Good High", "Good Low", "Fail High", "Fail Low" Software Features: Allows a computer operating with windows to input and store test parameters. Pass-thru height, load data, and classifier information can also be loaded and stored. Computer calculates spring rate for any two selected points and displays real time load curve. This requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(2).
