Description
The FAA Northwest Mountain Region is seeking sources for Installation of two (2") conduits under Mitchell Expressway, Fairbanks, AK. This an urgent need based upon high potential of losing all radio communications for in the effected area. The installation must be complete by September 30, 2009 prior to frost conditions. 1.Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and material to drill under a State of Alaska Highway (Mitchell Expressway, Fairbanks, Alaska) and trench to Communications Pedestals. (East Pedestal 64 49' 37.09N 147 49' 17.72W) West (Pedestal 64 49' 36.22"N 147 49' 17.72"W) Approximately 550 feet between Pedestals. 2.Contractor to install two 2" Government Furnished HDPE conduits in two continuous run, pedestal to pedestal. Conduit to be buried at depth meeting all State/Federal requirements. 3.Contractor shall obtain any and all Permits with State of Alaska for completion of this project. 4.Contractor to restore ground surface to condition prior to project. 5.The contractor shall be responsible for all of his ordering, shipping arrangements and associated costs. 6.The prospective offeror shall have a minimum of three years of experience in drilling under protected surfaces, such as Runways and/or Highways. Certification of the above qualifications shall be submitted with the offer that will be used in determining the bidder's responsibility. 7.The Contractor shall be responsible for all repair and/or replacement of any damage done to any existing Utilities, blacktop surfaces, and seeded areas. 8.The Contractor shall provide all information on final conduit installation route and depth. 9.All work to be completed and system operational NLT 30 September 2009. A competitive solicitation is not planned for this procurement. Any offeror who believes they can meet the FAA requirements and estimate within the established timeframes is requested to provide supporting qualifications, technical proposal, and cost proposal by August 31, 2009.
