- The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking proposals fromGeneral Contractors to construct a new parking Garage at the VA TampaMedical Center, Florida. The work will consist of constructing a newparking garage. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials,equipment, transportation, supervision, coordination and servicesrequired to perform and complete the construction of the new 493,023gsf, 1500 Car, multi-story parking garage located over the existingretention pond at the southwest corner of the James a Haley VAMC, on13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Tampa, FL. The work required for thisproject will be in accordance with plans and specifications issued inthe solicitation. The Offeror shall furnish and obtain any and allnecessary licenses and/or permits required to perform this work inTampa, Florida. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation. Therewill be no public bid opening. The magnitude of this project is between$20,000,000.00 and $50,000,000.00. This solicitation is a ServiceDisabled Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code for this work is236220. To be considered a small business under this code the SBA sizestandard must not exceed $33.5M. Documents will be available on orabout September 4, 2009. A Pre-Proposal conference is schedule forSeptember 17, 2009 at 9:00am, local time. For changes to the issue dateor any other changes to the information in this synopsis, potentialofferors are responsible to check the information athttps://www.fbo.gov/. The solicitation package will be posted on FedBizOpps, which can beaccessed at https://www.fbo.gov/. The Government will not provide papercopies of the solicitation.
