- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a commercial Request for Proposals for a firm fixed-price supply contract for new shaft seals and wicket gate seals at the JF Carr Power Plant located approximately 15 miles west of Redding, California in Shasta County. Rehabilitating the 85.6 MW units at the JF Carr Power Plant. The contractor will be required to design and fabricate new packing for the shaft and wicket gates seals that meets or exceed the original equipment manufacturer specifications and delivery of the seals to the project site (F.O.B.), and unloading at the power plant. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is: 339991 and the related small business size standard are 500 employees. This procurement is full and open and not set-aside. Solicitation R09PX20125 will be posted on or about August 31, 2009. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately September 16, 2009. The solicitation must be downloaded at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. You must be on the bidder's mailing list to receive the drawings. Click on the solicitation number and then select the "Vendor Interest" tab taking the following steps: 1) click on the Vender Interest Tab; 2) enter your DUNS number; 3) enter Password or Tax Identification Number. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Annual Representative and Certifications, as required by FAR 4.1102, apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Principal components of the work to be performed include: The existing components dimensions will remain the same with the exception of the wicket gate seals ID will have to be.100" large to accommodate the new wicket gates larger OD on it sealing surfaces. The new wicket gates have a larger OD to allow Government personnel to line bore the existing wicket gate bushings to.100" over existing size. The reference drawings are not manufacturing drawings. They are to scale but do not provide dimensions to build the items. Government personnel will provide dimensions to build the items once the unit is disassembled. Proposals should be developed off existing drawings.
