- Description
- The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Washington, is seeking proposals for winter boarding and feeding for approximately 45 head of pack and saddle stock (315 AUM (Animal Unit Month) each year for one Base Year and two (2) option years). This contract includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to board and feed the stock. All pastures used must be fenced and safe drinking water must be provided at all times, be accessible, and not frozen. When pasture is not supplying enough feed to maintain the animals, the Contractor must provide supplemental feed. Supplemental feed can consist of hay, either alfalfa, grain or grass hay, or any combination thereof, and not over one (1) year old. All hay must be clean and shall not consist of spoiled stock bottoms or tops. No stubble or straw hay shall be fed to the livestock. Stock shall be checked at least twice a week for general condition. Performance periods begin November 1 and end June 1 of each year. The Government intends to award to the offeror that represents the best value to the Government. Price and other factors will be considered and evaluated. The Government intends to award without discussion. All Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) and have completed your Annual Representations and Certifications in the ORCA Database (https://orca.bpn.gov) in order to be considered for award.
