- Description
- Contractor shall furnish the necessary labor, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the project of thinning and piling of Eastern Red Cedar trees within the boundaries as specified in the solicitation. Location of most of the projects is in Blaine County, Oklahoma. A mandatory site visit for all potential contractors is scheduled on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Concho Agency, Watonga SMC Unit, 314 West Main Street, Watonga, OK 73772. Interested parties may request a solicitation packet on Monday, August 24, 2009 by emailing Margie M. Wahkinney, Contract Specialist, at Margie.Wahkinney@bia.gov or calling (405) 247-1575. Due date for receipt of proposals is Monday, September 14, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. (CST), in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, 1 Mile North of City, Hwy 281, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to receiving any contracts from the Federal Government. Please visit http://www.ccr.gov to register.
