- Brand Name Justification This is a brand name requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c). Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed source is Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc, 331 N Lasalle St, Chicago IL 60610-4707. The item being procured is Britannica Online renewal. See the attached Brand Name Justification. This synopsis is being published for information purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the government will consider any quotations received within 3 day of issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All quotations/questions should be e-mailed to Brenda.Hicks@wpafb.af.mil no later than 1:00 pm EST, 20 Aug 09.
